Same question, two honest answers
Our two field guides describe dogs that could hardly be more different. The English Bulldog is calm, compact, and happiest within arm's reach of a sofa. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is sharp, busy, and convinced it runs the household. Neither is the better dog — but one of them is the better dog for your particular life.
Start with your energy, not theirs
The honest starting point is your own week. If your evenings are quiet and your walks are short, the bulldog will match your rhythm without complaint. If you want a companion for long walks, training games, and a bit of purposeful chaos, the corgi will meet you there and raise you a zoomie.
